About Cards & Travel
I got my first points card in 2002 — a Bank of America US Airways card, picked for the specific reason that I loved flying the A330 back and forth from Europe while stationed in Germany with the Air Force in my early twenties. That was the start. A decade later I stumbled onto a quieter trick — buying money orders with a SunTrust Delta debit card — and realized points weren't just a perk. They were a system. A system I could work.
That realization turned into an obsession, and the obsession turned into a decade of execution. I've been deep in this space ever since — manufactured spend, signup bonuses, transfer partners, sweet spots, devaluation timing. I've seen the ecosystem evolve through multiple cycles, and I've cashed in on just about every corner of it.
